Reporting directly to the Hygiene Team Leader, the Hygiene Operative will play a crucial role in ensuring the cleanliness and safety of our production facility during night operations. The successful candidate will carry out hygiene tasks with precision and efficiency, adhering strictly to documented procedures and industry regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Adherence to Standards: Operate according to documented procedures and work instructions to ensure compliance with food industry standards and the HACCP food safety plan. Maintain a thorough understanding of all relevant regulations and requirements.

• Scheduled Cleaning: Follow a documented schedule to effectively clean all areas of the facility, prioritizing tasks to ensure optimal cleanliness and hygiene. Adhere strictly to COSHH and Health & Safety requirements throughout the cleaning process.

• Safety and Cleanliness: Maintain a clean and safe environment within the factory at all times during the shift. Proactively identify and address any potential hazards or cleanliness issues to minimise risks to product quality and employee safety.

• Process Compliance: Ensure that all hygiene tasks are performed correctly according to established procedures and work instructions. This includes machine settings, process documentation, allergen management, and risk mitigation strategies for cross-contamination.

• Factory Maintenance: Keep all key areas of the factory clean, organized, and free from clutter. Regularly inspect and clean amenities to ensure they are readily available and accessible to all staff members.
