Job Overview

You will be responsible for designing new product developments and developing them with input from our internal teams and our Pupil Progress platform users. You will be working alongside our Chief Product Officer, Chief Technical Officer, Technical Support Manager and Head of Customer Experience to understand our bespoke platform and shape the new areas of development. 

You will be involved in the end-to-end process of creating innovative solutions for new areas of development. You will work closely with our web-developers on the technical implications of proposed solutions, through to quality assuring the new developments to ensure they meet the scoped customer journeys. 

Responsibilities and Tasks

  • Shape the product development of our bespoke platform for assessment
  • Working with the CPO and CTO to design new features that meet our business needs
  • Collaboratively produce development business cases to support prioritisation of longer term product development in line with core business goals
  • Work with our Product Team to help prioritise developments that both align with and inform our business strategy
  • Provide fully scoped designs to meet prioritised objectives to allow the leadership to have well-informed development discussions
  • Develop, prioritise and implement projects that improve the user experience (UX), liaising with web developers on developments and updates and quality assure all new updates
  • Gather feedback from customers and internal team using a range of approaches to design and test out proposed solutions
  • Work with our Head of Customer Experience and  Technical Support Manager to ensure proposed designs are adopted for use by our platform users as part of a smooth release process
  • Organise in-house training and support for new developments
  • Audit and maintain our platforms security certifications
  • Use other interlinked software such as Sketch, Jira, Productboard, and Hubspot (training will be given if needed)

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years experience in product management
  • EdTech experience is preferred not essential 
  • Experience in using any of the following:
    • Sketch, Figma or alternative design tools,
    • Product board
    • Jira
    • and other tools to assist with product development and customer feedback (preferred not essential)
