As part of supporting our growth achievement, we are now recruiting a Lab Process Operative to join our SPT Labtech team. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the team deliver high quality consumables to meet our customers’ expectations. You will be responsible for carrying out laboratory tasks (mixing liquids, handling tiny components, running quality control checks) and contributing to continuous improvement activities. 

We can offer this role 30-37.5 hours across 5 days with flexible start/finish times to suit the successful candidate (on a regular pattern).

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Work safely in a laboratory, maintaining excellent housekeeping whilst following appropriate safety, environment and risk management systems.
  • Good manual dexterity with a strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy in their work
  • Maintain accurate production records and work with the team to enhance quality output.
  • To abide by all company policies and procedures, working safely and reporting any accidents or incidents.
  • Meticulously follow work instructions and SOPs (standard operating procedures).
  • Follow SPT Labtech’s Quality system standards.
  • Ensure compliance to Health and Safety Laws and regulations.
  • Contribute to problem-solving activity in the spirit of continuous improvement.

 Your Skills & Attributes

You will be/have:

  • Excellent manual dexterity is essential for manipulating small components with precision.

  • Familiarity with MS Word, MS Excel, and Internet applications.
  • Experience of working well within a team.
  • Flexible approach to work and a willingness to move to other areas within consumables production.
  • Must be able to be trained in the proper handling of chemicals and hazardous waste.
