Salary: £25,000-£30,000

Hours: Full-time – Monday to Friday – 9.00-5.00

The Role

We have a fantastic and exciting opportunity for a driven, energetic and enthusiastic Business Development Associate to generate long term sustainable profitable growth for the agency through identification, qualification and onboarding of new customers.

Responsibilities:

·       Development of a pipeline of potential new business leads through events, data searches, use of personal networks, cold calling (phone and face to face), social and local business networks, and other means as directed by the partners from time to time.

·       Securing copies of existing insurance schedules for quote comparison.

·       Working with customers to fully understand their circumstances, risk management and insurance requirements, probing for gaps in any existing insurance programmes and making relevant recommendations to ensure that they are fully protected.

·       Capturing these needs accurately and in enough detail to effectively and successfully prepare underwriting submissions and negotiate with underwriters.

·       Management of the end-to-end sales process.

·       Provide administrative support to the Partner and support the business development team in any way necessary as deemed required by the Partner.

·       Meeting all monthly, quarterly, and annual KPIs and targets.

·       Keeping all potential and new business customer details up to date in the agencies CRM system and ensuring the accurate capture and documentation of every interaction.

·       Sending out paperwork and or other forms of confirmation in line with our regulatory and internal oversight requirements.

·       Ensuring that all internal and regulatory compliance measures are accurately met.

·       Ensuring that information is captured correctly, and records are maintained up to date after every customer interaction.

·       Successfully completing all internal and external required training programmes and maintaining the required set of licenses for all products.

·       Answering calls and dealing with enquiries received by phone, email, web enquiries and letters within 24 hours of receipt.

·       Attending training, events and trade shows as deemed necessary.

·       Completing all necessary CPD hours.

Skills and Requirements:

·       A person with a proven track record of selling with real drive, energy and enthusiasm.

·       Strong interpersonal skills, communication skills, & relationship building abilities.

·       Pro-activity, and the ability to work independently to develop a pipeline of prospects and drive your own sales performance.

·       Experience of and an understanding of the insurance/financial services sector preferable, but not essential.

·       Strong I.T. literacy; social media skills an advantage.

·       Minimum of Grade C in GCSE Math’s and English (or equivalent).

·       Full driving license and access to your own car for client visits.
