We’re supporting our client, a leading Injection moulding manufacturer based in Ipswich, who are looking for a Toolmaker to join their growing team. The successful Toolmaker will have experience of Injection Moulding maintenance and repairs, Manual Machining and Hot runner systems experience.

Responsibilities for Toolmaker:

• Undertake the repair & modification of injection mould tools to a high level of workmanship.
• Read and understand technical drawings.
• Use manual milling machines, lathes, surface, and cylindrical grinders.
• Use manual spark eroders.
• Undertake the wiring of hot runner systems.
• Undertake tool fault finding.
• Ensure correct marking/labelling of tools.
• Suggest possible improvements to tooling or processes.
• Log completed tool maintenance and repair work.

About You:

• 1 year injection mould toolmaking experience
• Completed a Toolmaking apprenticeship/toolmaking qualifications
• Hot runner systems experience
• Manual machining experience
