Job Title: Production Engineer

Location: Sandwich, Kent

Salary: Depending on experience

Security Clearance: UK SC Clearance or eligibility to obtain.

Our client is one of the premier suppliers and system integrators of support equipment for military and commercial electro-optical sensors globally. They're seeking a Production Engineer to coordinate production engineering processes from final design phase to full production release.

Responsibilities

  • Manage design, modification, and maintenance standards for manufacturing equipment and processes.
  • Develop and implement production plans, build documentation, and route cards for engineering projects.
  • Contribute to Operations Department strategy development.
  • Coordinate cross-functional activities to address manufacturing issues.
  • Implement best practices to enhance production capacity, quality, and reliability.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and NPI efforts.
  • Oversee production engineering tasks for ToT projects.
  • Conduct customer and supplier visits as needed, requiring a valid driving license.
  • Develop operating instructions and equipment specifications for production.

Skills & Experience

  • Technical Degree/equivalent qualification or experience
  • Applies process engineering principles, concepts, and standards effectively.
  • Reacts promptly to production demand changes, implementing timely solutions.
  • Proficient in interpreting engineering drawings and understanding Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance (GD&T).
  • UK Drivers License
