Our client is a mid-sized family-run Commercial & Domestic Property Management and Maintenance company that specialise in providing building services throughout the Hertfordshire region.

Due to successful expansion and the Managing Director wanting to step back from day-to-day operations, they are now seeking an experienced WORK WINNING Commercial Manager / Quantity Surveyor, Estimator or Operations Manager to join their busy offices

Working for this company will mean full autonomy, the chance to progress quickly (they are able to offer profit shares and for the right candidate – the keys to the business!) and the chance to join an already established Building and Maintenance company working for several blue chip clients. General scope of works include, M&E, Refurbishment works, Insurance repairs and Disability adaptation.

The primary scope of this role is to win work and will involve Estimating and Surveying duties across different sectors of the construction industry from reactivate repairs to planned repairs and refurbishment contracts . You will be heavily involved with growing the work load of the business assisting and reporting directly to the Managing Director.

Required Previous Experience: (Required)

  • Confidence and ability to deal with fast-pace SME Environment is a must!
  • Ability to communicate with clients, contractors and senior management
  • Proven and demonstratable work-winning experience is a must!
  • Ability to prepare tenders and contract documents, to include bills of quantities, monthly valuations and management cost reports across Smallworks and Voids
  • Ability to work to Agreed Rate schedules
  • Ability to take ownership of the overall business / Quantity Surveying / Estimating / Operations function of a mid-sized contractor

The Salary / Bonuses will be negotiated and reflective based on experience/ ability

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: £60k - £70k starting
