As a Software Engineer, you will assist with developing the company's products in the areas of CAD/CAM and metrology software. This is an opportunity to be involved in writing sophisticated scientific software with a complex mathematical bias.

In your first few weeks in this Software Engineer role, you can expect to:

• Oversee the deployment of the software to end-users
• This will include compiling software, creating installation packages, and maintaining and improving online updates and licensing mechanisms
• Contribute to the maintenance of the company software by analysing and addressing end-user requests/feedback
• Maintain and develop existing and new databases across the software and its ancillary utilities.

To apply for this Software Engineer role, your soft skills, expertise and experience should include:

• MATLAB programming, including some GUI development in a Windows environment
• Python programming and C++ programming skills
• Database development and maintenance skills, preferably in MySQL, SQLite or Apache Derby
• GUI development and oftware deployment skills, including scientific/mathematicical algorithm development and use of DLLs and API (C++ classes)
• Some experience using CAD/CAM packages.
