Financial Controller

Morgan McKinley is looking for an experienced Financial Controller to work for a great business based in Crawley, West Sussex. This is a fixed term contract FC job opportunity. The Financial Controller will be monitoring and managing the overheads, balance sheets, management accounts and preparation of IFRS and FRS101 compliant statutory accounts.
Salary: up to £75K
Duration: 9-10 month fixed term contract
Location: Office based, Crawley
Financial Controller duties:
- Review and forecast group overheads
- Review and reconcile balance sheet
- Post prepayment, accrual and payroll journals
- Maintain Asset register
- Prepare trading sheets for commercial reviews and monthly forecasts
- Monthly management accounts
- Manage annual budget process
- Managing the finance team
- Maintain, create and improve system reporting
- Preparation of tax calculations for review and statutory accounts - IFRS and FRS 101. Handling indirect tax queries
Skills and experience:
- Proven Financial Controller level of experience working in a similar role
- Ideally be fully qualified ACA / ACCA
- Strong IFRS technical accounting
