Job Description: Permanent Dustcart Driver in Dartford
ESD are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Dustcart Driver to join our clients team in Dartford on a permanent basis.
About the role:
Dustcart Drivers predominately visit care homes collecting offensive waste in bulk and exchange a small number of sharps units. This waste is brought back to either our site or a third party site for end disposal.
Salary: £37500
Hours: 47.5 per week (average start time between 4 and 5am, driver to a degree dictates their start time)
Overtime: Paid at time ¼ weekly – time ½ weekends – Minimum 5 hours paid for weekend overtime (bags of opportunity especially with van work at weekends)
Holiday: 20 days issued on individuals online portal – additional days added for Bank Holiday work (dustcart drivers work bank holidays)
Pension: Auto enrolment after 3 months of service (nest Pension Scheme)
MUST HAVE:
- Reliability, work ethic and consistency.
- Good physical fitness and the ability to carry out manual tasks related to the role
- A valid UK driving license with a Category C or C+E entitlement
-Previous experience in driving a dustcart or similar heavy goods vehicle
-Excellent driving skills and a strong focus on road safety
Overtime and weekends are available on a regular basis.
