Zenith People are working with our client who operate within Fast Moving Manufacturing and are looking to recruit an experienced Maintenance Technician to join their team on a permanent basis. The ideal candidate will be time-served and have previous experience of working in a fully automated production environment responding to electrical and mechanical breakdowns.

The purpose of the position is to Carry out maintenance duties and responsibilities on your shift in a busy, Fast Moving, High Volume Manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities:

1. Adhere to health and safety aspects within the assembly maintenance team.
2. Ensure compliance with Environmental & Health & Safety standards in line with current certification.
3. Participate in 5S processes and procedures with your area of responsibility.
4. Ensure fast response and smooth operation of plant equipment to enable quality results.
5. Carry out preventative and reactive maintenance.
6. Use and suggest improvements for the TPM system / equipment to improve maintenance performance.
7. Participate in continuous improvement projects to improve departmental performance on safety, uptime, availability, maintenance, equipment modifications, plant, error proofing, technical systems and processes and cost down opportunities.

Person specification:

1. Must be time served to a minimum HNC.
2. Experience of working with robotics, PLC’s, HMI’s, specifically 5/6 Axis Robotic.
3. Be able to work own initiative and be able to liaise with other functions and departments at all levels within the Company.
4. Excellent fault finding and problem solving skills are essential.
5. Good communication and team playing skills are necessary.
