Team Leader - Finishing Department

In this hands-on role, you will be responsible for leading a team of approximately 10 direct reports, ensuring the high-quality finishing of GRP products. With a focus on efficiency and performance, you will collaborate with stakeholders to optimise work flow and drive continuous improvement.



Main Duties:

  • Manage and motivate a team of GRP finishing specialists, ensuring efficiency of work flow and high-quality output.
  • Delegate tasks effectively, monitor performance, and provide constructive feedback to drive continuous improvement.
  • Foster a collaborative and positive team environment, promoting open communication and problem-solving.
  • Oversee all stages of the finishing process, from materials procurement to final inspection and quality control.
  • Participate in weekly team planning meetings, providing insights and recommendations.
  • Generate reports to highlight areas for improvement and team progress.
  • Set KPIs for the finishing team and monitor individual performance through regular appraisals.
  • Implement data-driven initiatives to enhance team efficiency.


Ancillary Duties:

  • Carry out additional tasks and duties as required by Senior Management.
  • Adhere to health and safety regulations.
  • Promote company values and maintain code of conduct and ethics.


Qualifications and Experience:

  • Manufacturing process control experience.
  • Proven team management and leadership experience.
  • Excellent organisational and planning skills.
  • Proficient in data analysis and reporting.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build effective working relationships.
