We’re looking for a talented Financial Controller to join our client’s finance team and contribute to their ongoing success in the technology sector. As the Financial Controller, you will play a pivotal role in managing and overseeing the financial operations of the business. You will be responsible for ensuring accurate financial reporting, managing accounting operations, and providing strategic insights to drive business performance.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Managing the day-to-day accounting operations including accruals, prepayments, and reconciliations.
  • Overseeing year-end reporting and coordinating with auditors for annual audits.
  • Handle group accounts and provide consolidated financial statements.
  • Managing taxation responsibilities, including compliance with international tax regulations.
  • Conducting in-depth financial analysis and reporting to provide insights for decision-making.
  • Maintaining and utilising Xero accounting software for financial transactions and reporting.
  • Supporting the preparation of budgets and forecasts.
  • Working closely with other departments to optimise financial performance and provide financial advice.
  • Ensuing compliance with all financial regulations and internal policies.

Candidate Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Partial or fully qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent).
  • Proven experience with accruals, prepayments, taxation, and auditors.
  • Strong knowledge of year-end reporting and international tax.
  • Proficiency in using Xero accounting software.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • A proactive approach to financial management
