Applause IT are pleased to be working once more with this established construction systems and technical equipment supplier based in West Liverpool. Their Innovative access and security products and services are used by many top tier constructors and other secure sites.

As Stock and Procurement Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of stock management and procurement processes to ensure the timely delivery of quality materials, whilst optimising costs and maintaining inventory levels.

In the position you will,

  • Develop and implement inventory control procedures across the complete business to ensure accurate stock levels are always maintained.
  • Conduct Regular stocktakes and reconcile discrepancies.
  • Monitor inventory turnover rates and adjust procurement strategies accordingly to optimise stock levels and align with forecasts and customer requirements.
  • Source, negotiate and procure stock from reliable suppliers at competitive prices, avoiding single source where possible.
  • Negotiate supplier contract agreements to secure favourable terms and conditions, including pricing, delivery schedules, quality standards and payment terms.
  • Review and update supplier contracts as necessary to reflect changes in business requirements or market conditions.
  • Ensure compliance with contract terms and conditions, including regulatory requirements and quality standards.
  • Evaluate supplier performance via formal governance meetings and maintain positive relationships to ensure timely delivery of quality goods.
  • Continuously seek opportunities to streamline procurement processes and identify cost-saving initiatives.
  • Collaborate with the Sales, Customer Success, and Operations Teams to accurately forecast stock requirements.
  • Identify potential risks related to supply chain disruptions or quality issues and develop mitigation strategies to minimise impact.
  • Generate regular reports on stock levels, procurement performance and key performance indicators to inform decision making.
  • Conduct data analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement within the stock and procurement function.
  • Ensure assets are correctly tracked at all points in the process, including refurbishment.
  • Manage tech and equipment fleet both internally and with suppliers, ensuring quality standards and accuracy.
  • Manage customs process for international shipments to ensure no delays in international sourcing or shipments.

You will have proven experience in stock management, procurement, or supply chain roles,

  • Strong negotiation skills and the ability to build and maintain relationships with suppliers.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication skills, with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally.
  • Strong attention to detail with a high-level of accuracy in everything you do.
