If so, I have a great opportunity for a driven General Manager to join a rapidly growing Precision Engineering business that has an exciting journey to take over the next few years, one that will see exponential, global growth.

Responsibilities:

  • Integrate technology deeply into the fabric of the factory operations, leveraging the latest advancements to streamline processes and enhance productivity.
  • Develop and nurture collaborative relationships with customers to understand their unique requirements and align them with the capabilities of our machining facility.
  • Work closely with the engineering and production teams to ensure seamless execution of customer projects, from concept to completion.
  • Implement strategic initiatives to optimise factory capacity utilisation, driving revenue growth and profitability.
  • Oversee quality assurance processes to maintain the highest standards of product quality and customer satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to develop and execute business strategies that drive sustainable growth and market leadership.
  • The implementation and promotion of a continuous improvement culture throughout the business.
  • Working closely with the technology team to develop automated processes wherever practically possible to streamline business practices

Requirements:

  • Experience at a similar level, however would consider someone who is ready for their next step and has the understanding of how to run a manufacturing site.
  • Experience in a low volume, high complexity manufacturing environment is essential, ideally 'Make to Order'.
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • Chartered Engineer status is advantageous.
  • Someone with commercial awareness, who understands how to estimate the cost of operational delivery.
  • Experience of implementing and promoting a continuous improvement culture.
  • Be able to demonstrate what good leadership looks like.
  • Financially astute, can budget, forecast and manage against financial measures, Full P&L would be beneficial.
  • Excellent communication skills and able to engage with internal and external stake holders.
