Position – CNC Turner / Metal Spinner   

Location – Newcastle   

Hourly Rate – £15.98 per hour

Shifts – Day shift

Monday-Thursday 07:00 – 16:45

Job Description:

As a CNC Turner/Metal Spinner, your role involves ensuring the safe and efficient operation of your assigned machine while meeting manufacturing targets. 

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate with Tool Preparation Operatives to guarantee a timely supply of necessary materials and tools.
  • Develop new or modify existing work procedures for universal employee use.
  • Verify proper setup of all CNC machines according to current procedures, including accurate selection of machine tools, rollers, and back plates within set timeframes as per manufacturing guidelines.
  • Conduct inspections of produced components.
  • Comprehend all production requirements thoroughly and establish strategies to sustain proficiency and consistently produce compliant components.

Skills & Experience:

  • Proficiency in using inspection equipment such as Vernier, micrometer, PI tape, CMM, and FARO Arms.
  • Competence in conducting daily maintenance checks and minor maintenance tasks on machinery.

  • Experience in ensuring correct and safe storage of components and materials.
  • Familiarity with internal quality control measures and visual checks throughout the spinning process.
