Special Needs Mentors- SEN School in Leeds

(multiple positions available)

I am currently working with a fantastic SEN School located in East Leeds (LS9) who are seeking to recruit full-time Teaching Assistants and SEN Mentors to support there pupils starting from September 2024 for temporary to permanent contracts.

This SEN school currently cater for 55 pupils and will be expanding to 105 in the new academic and therefore the school are seeking to recruit a number SEN Support Assistants and Mentors who can start in September.

This SEN School in Leeds caters for Neurodiverse pupils from the ages of 3 - 16 years and currently have three teaching pathways depending on the pupils needs and communication level.

The role of an SEN Support Assistant in this school will be to:

  • Support pupils in the classroom on a day to day basis.
  • Working with multiple pupils and supporting students with 1-2-1 support and Intervention.
  • Support pupils with their holistic development in line with there Educational Health Care Plans.
  • Support with changing (personal care), feeding at lunch times and general care for the pupils.
