You will work with a dedicated team of respite workers to providing the best fun loveing care and support to children and young people with physical and learning disabilities, using various methods of communiction with our children and young people , personal care, supporting them  to have new experiences and engage in  social activities to build confidence and independant skills, but most of all for them to enjoy themselves and have fun when they stay at The Ark Respite  to enable their families to have a break from their careing responsibilities in the knowledge that their  children are being cared for in a safe environment.

 skills and experience 

  • Flexability  to work shifts including nights on a rotational basis
  •  At least 1 year Experience  of working with children and young people preferalbly those  with  with learning and physical disabilities
  • Level 3 qualification in children and young people in residential care ( or be willing to works towards)
  • Good communication skills
  • Team worker 
  • Experience of 365 and IT llterate
  • Knowledge and experience of The Childrens home regulations 2015
  • Driver
