Our client, a large Civil Engineering Contractor is currently looking for a Site Agent / Manager to join their team on a permanent basis. In this role you will work on a Design & Build projects within the Water sector, part of the AMP7 Framework in the Severn Trent Region.

You will be responsible for the accurate and safe delivery of civil engineering works, also interfacing with MEICA teams when required, to ensure all works are deliver collaboratively and to best practices. This including works on water treatment plants, therefore previous experience working within the Water sector is highly preferred.

Daily duties may include but are not limited to:

  • Manage all aspects of construction projects, including planning, budgeting, scheduling, and resource management.
  • Ensure compliance with construction contract law and forms of contract through formal training.
  • Coordinate temporary works and maintain a Temporary Works Coordinator qualification/experience.
  • Prioritise personal safety and well-being, as well as environmental and community thriving.
  • Demonstrate integrity by always doing the right thing in the right way.
  • Strive for excellence by understanding, anticipating, and meeting our clients' needs.

Candidates will ideally:

  • Have worked in a similar role as an Engineer / Agent / Manager delivering works within Water / on AMP Frameworks.
  • Hold a relevant qualification such as a Degree or similar.
  • Knowledge of construction techniques, legislation and contracts.
  • Have experience of delivering various heavy civil engineering works such as concrete structures, foundations, deep drainage, retaining walls etc.
  • Have experience interfacing with MEICA teams.
  • Have strong knowledge of engineering principles and construction techniques, including best practices.
  • Have a strong knowledge of HSQE legislation, always completing work in the correct manner.
  • Have experience liaising with subcontractors/3rd parties (Preferred but not essential).
  • Be an organised individual, with good communication and I.T skills.
  • Temporary Works Coordinator qualification/experience.
