Job Title: Senior Quantity Surveyor - Screeding and Insulation
Location: Rosyth, Scotland
Salary: £50,000 - £60,000
Duties and Responsibilities
- Initial meeting with client and assessing project scope.
- Producing accurate measures & take offs for projects.
- Producing estimates & tenders for new projects
- Produce and update procurement schedules for all projects.
- Prepare the required documents to issue to subcontractors to enable them to tender effectively for works packages.
- Identify appropriate subcontractors for all aspects of works.
- Prepare client cost reports and billing.
- Manage and monitor variations and changes.
- Assist in the financial appraisal of new opportunities.
- Work closely with architects and other professionals.
- Navigate and understand building regulations & codes.
- Process project paperwork and travel to sites as required.
- Monitor costs and expenditure across the construction process.
Job Requirements
- Experience of managing cost on projects within screeding, Insulation, Underfloor heating and resin flooring
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Solid experience in the construction industry
- Experienced in creating detailed cost reports.
- Experienced working within a principal building contractor
