What you'll be doing:
You will already have demonstrable success in multi-term contract management, with innovative thinking and agile solutions at the heart of your accomplishments. You are keen to develop a team with shared energy and values. As a senior leader within the Commercial National Accounts team, you will positively contribute to our commercial objectives and support the growth of our business through the leadership of an account management team that manages National Customers (National or Strategic Account Customers) within our key Grocery Retail sectors.
You will focus on the strategic development of our Grocery Retail sectors with a key focus on customer retention, business growth and solution innovation. This will require insight into the underlying challenges impacting supply-chains, a clear view of how these might be addressed, and the capability to build propositions and teams to deliver solutions.
Role Responsibilities include:
- To effectively manage, inspire and drive a high performing team so that our account management teams operate in lockstep with customer stakeholders at all levels
- To ensure that the contractual commitments are delivered, with coherent, structured and innovative contract management strategies in place that demonstrate our "Customer Centric" approach for business growth and customer retention.
- To take overall responsibility for the generation and growth of all business lines, ensuring departmental objectives and contractual requirements are met across all account portfolios.
- To work with account managers to produce detailed, relevant Account Management Plans for each client that ensure development pathways and contract retention / development factors are identified and delivered.
- To help identify, drive and deliver innovation projects ensuring Veolia is embedded within customer value chains by collaborating with key stakeholders to manage and deliver business innovation, best practices and strategic value projects.
- To focus on the long-term development of strategic plans for the sector(s), using market intel, client strategic objectives, regulatory and financial frameworks, AND your keen eye for game-changing opportunities (including investment / co-investment growth potential) in order to grow the Veolia brand and our market offerings
What we're looking for:
- An inspirational leader with a demonstrable track record of leading high-performance, cross-functional teams.
- Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders both internally and externally to retain significant key national accounts and develop long term sustainable relationships.
- Significant experience in leading and driving transformation and change.
- Strategic thinker who is solution focussed and creative, with the ability to implement strategy and embed into a business.
- Knowledge of resource management solutions within the Grocery Retail sector.
- Ability to build relationships and influence at a senior leadership level.
- Extensive experience in leading and influencing across a large matrixed environment.
- Ability to manage a P&L.
- Excellent project management skills and ability to prioritise among competing priorities.
- Ability to bring clarity and structure to complex multi-stream challenges, breaking ambiguity into actionable items.
