Laboratory Manager / Norfolk
Salary: Competitive
Working Hours: Monday to Friday (37.5 hours per week) either 8am-4.30 pm or 8.30 am-5pm

This role will operate out of a UKAS-accredited laboratory based in Norwich, the business offers cutting-edge solutions in food and drink analysis. Their services include accredited testing, expert advice, and risk-based planning, ensuring quality and safety in food production.

About the Role:
The Laboratory Manager oversees technical operations and resource provision to maintain laboratory quality. This role manages SIRA and Check In Labs, ensuring adherence to ISO 17025 standards, technical accuracy, and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage day-to-day lab operations in compliance with ISO 17025 standards.
  • Ensure technical adequacy and accuracy of laboratory methods.
  • Continuously improve efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Maintain laboratory accreditation and regulatory compliance.
  • Conduct audits, inspections, and investigations.
  • Facilitate staff training and development.
  • Oversee introduction, validation, and accreditation of new methods.

About You:
They seek a proactive individual with a background ideally an analytical chemist, with experience in Laboratory Management, strong knowledge of regulatory requirements, worked in R&D and experience in Quality Assurance. The ideal candidate demonstrates leadership, problem-solving skills, and a commitment to excellence in client service.
