We are working with an established Industrial Component Manufacturer based in Accrington.  They are recruiting for a Manufacturing Engineer to join their team on Days (Mon-Fri) in return for a salary in the region of £35,000 - £45,000 along with overtime opportunity and additional training and development.

The Manufacturing Engineer needs to possess a strong hands-on background in mechanical and electrical skills directly related to operating in a 24/5 manufacturing environment. Requires experience working within an engineering department maintaining machinery and implementing improvements.

Key Responsibilities include:

• Implementing planned, preventative maintenance (PPM)
• Problem solving machinery issues
• Working closely with management and other departments (Engineering, Quality, NPI etc)
• Carry out root cause analysis of machinery breakdowns
• Implementing lean manufacturing techniques to production (5S, Kaizen and continuous improvements)
• Creating manufacturing processes to ensure that products are made to the required customer specifications

Qualifications & Experience required:

• City and Guilds / Level 3 qualification in Engineering
• Completion of an Engineering Apprenticeship
