Overview

This role is an exciting opportunity to join a global player offering opportunities to work on a range of international and diverse industry-leading projects.

As an Associate Director you will lead the design and implementation team for HV power systems. As a key member of the senior management team, you will drive the successful and profitable delivery of engineering design consultancy services in high-voltage power systems and front-end engineering design studies.

Your role will encompass bid creation, client interaction, project control, and team leadership, with a primary focus on project delivery and client relationship management.

Associate Director Responsibilities

  • Lead a design team to develop innovative and efficient solutions.
  • Collaborate closely with the Design Manager to align with departmental objectives.
  • Strategise and oversee the execution of multiple design projects from inception to conclusion.
  • Oversee the coordination of project activities to meet client expectations and project objectives.
  • Cultivate collaboration by engaging with multidisciplinary teams
  • Spearhead continuous improvement initiatives in design processes and methodologies.
  • Introduce innovative solutions to elevate project efficiency and efficacy.

Experience and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Electrical Engineering, physics, Business Management) with Charted status.
  • At least 5 years experience in a senior role and 3 years experience in project management/contracts, preferably in a consultancy or engineering environment.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation abilities, with a customer-centric approach.
  • Proficiency in project management tools and software.
  • Experience in business development and client relationship management.
