Location: West Midlands, Shropshire, Telford

Job Type: Permanent, expected to work full-time hours

Salary: £39,000 per annum

Job Description:

The Product Engineering Coordinator plays a crucial role in coordinating product engineering activities within the organisation. The primary focus is on managing projects, tooling, quality engineering, and cost down initiatives to ensure the successful development and launch of new products.

Job Duties:
  • Coordinate product engineering projects from concept to launch
  • Manage tooling requirements and liaise with suppliers
  • Ensure quality engineering standards are met throughout the product development process
  • Implement cost-down initiatives to optimise product costs
Required Qualifications:
  • Degree in Engineering or related field
  • Proven experience in product engineering and project management
Experience:
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role
  • Experience with processes such as plastic injection moulding, die casting, pressing and Assembly will be a major advantage in this role, with an understanding of Kaizen activities
Knowledge and Skills:
  • Strong understanding of product development processes
  • Excellent project management skills
  • Knowledge of quality engineering principles
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in implementing cost-down strategies
Working Conditions:
  • Office-based role
  • Full-time hours, Monday to Friday
  • Collaborative work environment with cross-functional teams
