Position: Site Engineer
Location: Southampton, Hampshire
Role Summary: As a Site Engineer, you will play a crucial role in managing and coordinating site activities for our exciting civil engineering projects. You’ll work closely with the Contracts Manager, ensuring technical challenges are addressed, quality standards are maintained, and project timelines are met. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious engineer to contribute to impactful projects and grow within our dynamic team.
Responsibilities:
- Site Management:
- Oversee day-to-day site operations.
- Coordinate with the Contracts Manager to ensure smooth project execution.
- Technical Support:
- Provide engineering expertise to resolve technical issues on-site.
- Address technical queries promptly.
- Client Interaction:
- Liaise with clients, ensuring effective communication and adherence to contract terms.
- Setting Out:
- Ensure accurate setting out of project elements within specified tolerances.
- Quality Assurance:
- Record and check information in accordance with drawings
- Maintain quality records.
- Communication:
- Collaborate with the site team and commercial team.
- Proactive workload management
- Mentoring:
- Supervise and mentor junior Engineers.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Minimum of 4 years experience in a similar role.
- Previous working experience with the Main & Sub Contractor
- Competent in using Total Station, EDM etc
- AutoCAD & MS Office tools
- Valid CSCS Card.
- Full Driving Licence.
