A fantastic vacancy for a SEN Teaching Assistant to join this well-respected school in Merseyside.

This fantastic school is looking for a TA to support a children on a 1-1 and or class basis on a full time schedule. The working hours would be Monday - Fridays 08:30 - 15:30pm.

The role consists of working under the direction of the class teacher, ensuring the child remains on task, promoting positive peer friendships and social skills. Being able to work independently with the child and assisting with group interventions.

You will need to demonstrate excellent behaviour management skills and a calm, professional attitude. Reporting back to the teacher on the child's progress and how they are responding to tasks and general day to day activities is a must.

We are looking to fill this vacancy ASAP. We offer some great CPD training opportunities to build on your knowledge alongside a competitive daily rate to offer.

To be considered for this role:

  • Be Understanding to the child's needs
  • Be experienced in supporting children (preferably on a 1:1 basis)
  • Able to commit Part time, long term for continuity for the pupil
  • Have good communication skills (written & verbal)
  • Able to work closely with the teacher to further development
  • Have a DBS on the update service or be willing to get one in process
