We are currently supporting a fantastic business in Scarborough who are looking for a Project Manager / Contracts Manager on a permanent basis. In this role, you will lead and drive engineered orders, ensuring solutions are delivered to customers on time, within budget, and to specification. This role involves advanced project delivery expertise for multiple large, complex, or multi-business projects, focusing on minimizing commercial risk while maximizing order revenue, growth, and cash flow. On offer is a salary of £40,000 plus 10% annual bonus, and a fantastic benefits package which includes: 28 days annual leave PLUS bank holidays, up to 7.5% employer contribution pension, enhanced sick pay, private medical insurance, share incentive plan + More. There is also relocation assistance for candidates considering a new role from outside of Scarborough, North Yorkshire.

 

The successful Project Manager will be responsible for:

  • Manage customer orders from receipt to dispatch, ensuring on-time delivery within budget and to customer specifications.
  • Interpret technical requirements and prepare contract documentation, including creating electrical scheme/wiring diagrams using AutoCAD, contract reports, and O&M Manuals.
  • Liaise with customers regarding project approvals, variation instructions, deliveries, site work, and customer inspections.
  • Collaborate closely with Tendering, Production, and Sales teams to manage projects to both business and customer requirements.
  • Provide performance feedback and conduct thorough contract reviews to manage risk and achieve project objectives.
  • Monitor work in progress, conduct review meetings, and feedback any deviations for future bid improvements.
  • Ensure departmental KPIs are met.
 

The successful Project Manager will have:

  • More than 3 years’ experience in a customer-centric role.
  • Demonstrable experience within a technical role, preferably in electrical engineering.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD and other relevant design software.
  • Strong project management skills with a track record of delivering complex projects.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
  • A minimum of 5 GCSEs (or equivalent), at Grade 4 or above including Maths, English, and a science-related subject.
  • HNC level/Level 6 or equivalent in Electrical Engineering.
