Are you a dynamic English Teacher available after the May half-term break? Could you commit to a full-time placement until July?

Tradewind are recruiting for an English Teacher for one of our client secondary schools in St. Helens. Starting after May half-term, this position will continue until the end of the academic year in July, covering a pre-planned absence. The successful English Teacher will be required to teach across KS3 and KS4. Pay for this position, depending on experience, is up to £211.96 per day.

The successful English Teacher will be joining a department whose vision is to create a student-centred approach to activities which will nurture independence, resilience and critical thought or consideration of a range of texts. These key threads of independence, resilience and critical thought are instilled in Key Stage 3 and maintained and extended into Key Stage 4.

To be considered for this English Teacher position in St. Helens the essentials are:

  • Full time availability from Monday 3rd June
  • QTS or equivalent
  • Experience teaching English across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4
  • Enhanced Child workforce DBS on the update service or be prepared to undertake a new one
  • Full and complete career history
  • Minimum of 2 references including your most recent employment reference
  • Legal right to work in the UK
