We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated year 1 Teacher to join a primary school in Southampton from September for the full academic year. The successful candidate will have a genuine passion for teaching young learners and a commitment to nurturing their academic, social, and emotional growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons in accordance with the KS1 curriculum.
  • Create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment where every child feels valued and encouraged to reach their full potential.
  • Assess student progress regularly and provide constructive feedback to support their learning journey.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement effective teaching strategies and interventions.
  • Communicate openly and effectively with parents/carers, providing regular updates on student progress and well-being.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Experience teaching in KS1, with a sound understanding of the curriculum and assessment requirements.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents/carers.
  • A creative and innovative approach to teaching, with a commitment to fostering a love of learning in young children.
  • The ability to adapt teaching strategies to meet the diverse needs of learners and promote inclusive practice.
