Are you looking for a new role as a Financial Controller in a growing Facilities Maintenance and M+E contractor?

Apply principles of accounting to analyse financial information and prepare financial reports by compiling information, preparing profit and loss statements, and utilising appropriate accounting control procedures. Manage the finance team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare profit and loss statements and monthly closing and cost accounting reports.
  • Compile and analyse financial information to prepare entries to accounts, such as general ledger accounts, and document business transactions.
  • Establish, maintain, and coordinate the implementation of accounting procedures and accounting control procedures.
  • Monitor and review accounting and related system reports for accuracy and completeness.
  • Prepare and analyse reporting information for budget, revenue, expense, payroll entries, costs, variances for reporting in the Monthly MI Pack
  • Analyse revenue and expenditure trends and recommend appropriate budget levels and ensure expenditure control.
  • Resolve accounting discrepancies.
  • Recommend, develop, and maintain financial databases, accounts software systems and associated financial software.
  • Supervise the input and handling of financial data and reports for the company's automated financial systems.
  • Interact with internal and external auditors in completing audits.
  • Develop the annual operating budget and consult with departmental management on the fiscal aspects of program planning, salary recommendations, and other administrative actions.
  • Provide accounting policy orientation for new staff.
  • Manage and supervise finance staff and provide necessary training sessions for all departments.
  • Compile weekly KPI.
  • Control cashflow short and long-term.
  • Select & Authorise payments for AP in line with cashflow and payment terms.
  • Compile and reconcile VAT returns for both companies.
  • Compile and process payroll.
