Position: Software Engineer

Office Location: Manchester City Centre

Are you a software engineering enthusiast who is keen to work on a variety of exciting projects, using open-source technologies in a friendly, teamwork focussed environment? Do you consider yourself a hobbyist and spend lots of your spare time developing personal projects and keeping up to date with modern technologies? If so, this is the role for you.

Our client is growing their team and looking for likeminded software engineers to join them in their Central Manchester based offices. They develop industry leading software solutions and predominately work with the open-source technology stack; coding in C, C++, Python and Rust in Linux environments.

In this role no two projects will be the same and you will get the chance to work in different project teams with the chance to contribute throughout the full development lifecycle. You can expect plenty of variety in your day-to-day tasks and the ideal software engineers will be detailed orientated, strong communicators who enjoying solving complex challenges and writing clean, reliable code.

Skills and Experience Required:

• Programming with - C, C++, Python or Rust.
• Linux environments
• Experience with all aspects of the software development life cycle.
• An interest and passion for developing modern software
• Experience working with open-source software

Desirable Skill and Experience:

• Embedded software applications
• Experience in a regulated environment (Automotive, safety critical, medical etc)
• CI/CD, Yocto and Docker
