Focussed on providing high quality Civil, Structural & Architectural (CS&A) inspection services
on behalf of the Stage 2 ‘collaborative’ project team and supporting the Stage 2 Quality
Manager in ensuring that all CS&A related SDP Stage 2 works are carried out in accordance
with the client’s, regulatory and legislative requirements and that the products and systems
meet design intent.
• Proactively support and advise the SDP Stage 2 Project on CS&A quality matters.
• Attend Quality, Engineering and Start-Up meetings with contractors / suppliers, as
required.
• Approval of Suppliers and Contractors quality related documents including the review and
approval of Quality Plans and Inspection and Test Plans to ensure that the activities
provide the evidential trail that design intent will be met.
• Ensuring processes are in place to prevent Counterfeit, Foreign and Suspect Items
entering the SDP supply chain.
• Ensure all measuring equipment is calibrated and in date.
• Receipt inspection of materials, equipment, and ancillaries at the Rosyth site.
• Inspection of all civil works.
• Completion of Inspection and Check Lists / Certificates and review of Test Reports.
• Sign-off of Quality Plans and Inspection and Test Plans.
• Review of Lifetime Records (CS&A)
• Contribute to Lessons learnt.
• Contribute to the performance assessment of contractors and suppliers.
• Contribute to the performance assessment of SDP.
• To assist the SDP Stage 2 Quality Manager in ensuring that any quality non-conformances
/ quality issues are managed and closed out.
• Willing to travel to supplier locations / sites throughout the UK and occasionally overseas.

Essential:
• Knowledge and background in a Civils, Structural and Architectural environment.
• Previous experience of temporary works.
• Ability to ensure that standards have been met.
• 3 years + experience as a CS&A Inspector
Desirable:
• Experience and knowledge of CS&A Inspection requirements related to the Nuclear Industry
or other highly regulated high hazard industry.
• To have security clearance or ability to attain it.
• Recognised qualifications such as a degree in civil engineering and / or HNC or HND with
relevant experience.
