CAD designer - Commercial Glazing

Job title: Cad Designer
Hours: 40 hours per week - Monday to Friday
Main duties
- Produce CAD designs for curtain-wall systems using Technal and Schuco systems, commercial glazing and cladding systems.
- Designs to be used as the basis for pricing, scheduling, programming and project management.
- Designs to include detail, elevation and location.
- Attend design meetings with external client.
- Liaise with structural engineers.
- Issue RFI schedules.
- Produce design reports.
- Prepare schedule of materials required against the design.
- Work with Contracts, Project and Site managers to ensure production and delivery of design and associated information on time as required.
Qualifications
- Autocad proficient
- CAD Design Qualification
Relevant experience
- Tech Design and / or Schucal System proficiency
- Scheduling
- Skilled in the production of detailed design in the curtain-wall, glazing or façade industry
Aptitude, skills and abilities
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Good Team working skills
Solution focused and proactive
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Skilled at using Microsoft Office software, particularly strong with Excel.
