Head of Research and Evaluation

Responsibilities:

• Lead and oversee all primary and secondary research and evaluation projects within the Technology, Digital, and Data team.
• Scope, plan, and execute quantitative and qualitative research projects, both internally and externally commissioned.
• Manage the tendering process for commissioned suppliers and ensure completion and dissemination of research findings.
• Collaborate with Operations, Communications, and Data teams to extract key insights from existing datasets for external influence.
• Design and facilitate service-level evaluations, including the development of evaluation frameworks.
• Establish partnerships with research communities in areas relevant to the company’s operations, such as domestic abuse, modern slavery, and mental health.
• Conduct horizon scanning for research opportunities and emerging issues, contributing to the organization's strategic planning.
• Stay updated on research developments and facilitate the implementation of key learnings and best practices within the organization.

Requirements:

• Experience scoping, managing, and delivering research and evaluation projects, including commissioning research and working with external partners.
• Proficiency in project management processes with the ability to manage a complex portfolio of work and prioritize effectively.
• Strong communication, relationship building, and stakeholder management skills.
• Advanced knowledge of research and evaluation methods, data analysis, and experience working with complex datasets.
• Previous experience in health and/or social care settings preferred.
