Role Overview:
We are seeking a proactive and experienced Commercial Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will be skilled in overseeing commercial operations, managing cost estimations, and ensuring financial efficiency. This role involves chasing payments and overseeing estimators' notices. The position offers the flexibility to work from home, with occasional travel to our Birmingham office and project sites in Hull.
Key Responsibilities:
- Overseeing and managing the commercial aspects of projects within the retail, industrial, and education sectors.
- Preparing detailed and accurate cost estimates for both new build and refurbishment projects.
- Ensuring timely and effective communication with clients regarding payments and financial matters.
- Chasing outstanding payments and managing accounts receivable.
- Reviewing and managing estimators' notices and ensuring compliance with project requirements.
- Collaborating with project managers, engineers, and other team members to ensure accurate and complete estimates.
- Monitoring and updating project costs and budgets.
- Participating in bid reviews and presentations.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Commercial Manager in the M&E sector.
- Strong knowledge of commercial management, cost estimation, and financial operations.
- Excellent analytical and mathematical skills.
- Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Willingness to travel occasionally to Birmingham and Hull as required.
