DATS is seeking an experienced Senior EC&I Engineer to join our client’s Compliance Engineering team in Runcorn.
They are able to offer a competitive salary estimated at between £50-60K but open to a more senior engineer as well. 
They will report to the Compliance Services Manager and  the Managing Director.

You will be responsible for delivering and consulting on EC&I engineering activities. The primary aim of this role is to support our client’s compliance team and customers by providing accurate and comprehensive technical knowledge and solutions. 
The Compliance Team conduct inspections and testing services of existing process and offer solutions where these are not current up to the standards required by legislation. This will be for new and existing clients primarily in the North West but also in the UK as a whole. 
A degree of travel to sites can be expected but the majority of the work will be office based from Runcorn.

Summary of Role:
As a Senior E ,C & I Engineer, you will lead and oversee the engineering activities within the Compliance team. Your role will involve supporting the management team to maintain high levels of operational and customer satisfaction by implementing and adhering to company standards. You will ensure that deliverables for Engineering & Design activities are met efficiently and within budget.
You will support site-based inspection and testing teams and provide technical support and solutions to customers. Additionally, you will work on engineering activities to bring customer sites up to current standards and implement industry best practices in line with HSE guidelines.

•    Documentation & Compliance
•    Specification of hazardous and non-hazardous area equipment.
•    I.S safety calculations (DSD).
•    Loop drawings.
•    Fault level studies and calculations.
•    Inspection and testing procedures and documents.
•    Report generation and critical reviews.
•    Single line diagrams.
•    Electrical schedules.
•    Project Support
•    Customer Relationship Management
•    Technical Support
•    Operational Support
•    Testing & Commissioning
•    Safety Systems
•    Site Activities
•    Coordination: Coordinate with other trades and onsite management teams.

Qualifications Required:
•    Relevant qualifications and experience in engineering and/or management, minimum HNC.
•    Ideally an Incorporated Engineer (IEng) or working towards it.
•    Experience working on industrial sites within the UK.
•    Familiarity with DSEAR and ATEX standards, ideally CompEX 12 qualified.
•    Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and other basic computer programs.
•    Familiarity with Microsoft Project and AutoCAD.
•    Understanding of Functional Safety Systems and requirements of BSEN 61508 & BSEN 61511.
•    BS7671 18th edition trained with working knowledge.
