Skills needed in the Managing Quantity Surveyor role:
- You will have experience of working as a Senior Quantity Surveyor within the Construction industry
- Ideal if you have an understanding of the Social Housing sector
- Ideal if you possess experience of managing a small team of QS's while also managing your own projects
- You will have strong commercial acumen and excellent attention to detail
- Good understanding of IT and proficient office skills
Responsibilities of the Managing Quantity Surveyor role:
- Assist Commercial Manager with effective financial management during pre-commencement stage in order to reduce risk and increase target contribution prior to commencement on site
- Play fundamental role within the site team to ensure the efficient delivery of each scheme
- Undertake financial management and accurate reportage, in accordance with company procedures
- Carry out key commercial tasks such as bonus payments, subcontract procurement and management, site measurement and internal and external valuations
