WordPress Designer - Leeds - GBP £40,000 - 50,000 DOE - 6 Month Fixed Term Contract
A new and exciting position has recently become live with a leading client!
They searching for a passionate and career-driven WordPress Designer to join their team and help redesign their website.
You will work closely with the design and marketing team via an agile approach to work on a range of smaller projects that will contribute significantly to elevating their website's functionality and user experience.

This is a hybrid role that requires you to work from the Leeds-based office 2-3 times per week and therefore you will need to live and have the full right to work in the UK!
Technical Skills:
- WordPress
- Elementor
- WooCommerce
- Strong understanding of UI/UX
- JavaScript, HTML, CSS, jQuery, PHP
- Git or similar version control systems
Responsibilities:
- Create and implement user-friendly and engaging interfaces within WordPress using Elementor.
- Utilise HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, and PHP to develop effective design components.
- Work closely with the marketing and design team to ensure designs align with brand identity and strategic objectives.
- Refine design concepts based on user feedback and analytics to improve usability and engagement.
- Manage the design process from initial concept to final implementation, ensuring smooth integration of designs onto the web.
- Assist the development team with A/B testing for web design and layout optimisation, analysing results to inform future improvements.
- Develop and maintain a detailed style guide to ensure consistency in website design elements.
- Intergrate interactive design elements and micro-interactions to enhance user engagements.
- Apply e-commerce design principles to improve product discoverability and user interaction.
Requirements:
- Extensive experience in web design within the WordPress ecosystem, with particular expertise in Elementor and a solid understanding of WooCommerce.
- Strong grasp of UI/UX design principles, skilled at creating responsive designs for both desktop and mobile platforms.
- A diverse portfolio showcasing a range of web design projects that have significantly enhanced user experience, including examples of e-commerce web designs.
- Proficient in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery, and PHP.
- Excellent problem-solving skills for effective troubleshooting and debugging.
- Strong communication skills for effective teamwork and collaboration across departments.
- Creative and innovative mindset, with a proactive approach to exploring new technologies and methodologies.
- Develop and maintain a detailed style guide to ensure consistency in website design elements, aligning with brand identity.
- Integrate interactive design elements and micro-interactions to actively engage users.
- Expertise in designing user interfaces tailored to e-commerce behaviors, and understanding how users search, view, and interact with product listings and information.
- Advanced proficiency in using Git or similar version control systems.
- Familiarity with project management tools and user feedback tools.
