Business Development Executive

Are you an experienced Business Development professional looking for an exciting new challenge. Our client, an independant Scottish Law Firm are growing.

Ideally you will have some Business Development experience, ideally within the Property or Legal Industry, with strong stakeholder management skills and a passion for developing and nurturing client relationships.

This role can be based at our clients Edinburgh or Glasgow office.

What you’ll do

  • Provide strategic and practical support for the Property and Infrastructure and Government & Public sector BD efforts
  • Assist in responding to various business and client needs as part of the BD team
  • Conduct research and analysis on markets, sectors and clients for key client support, events, tenders and prospect identification
  • Support the BD Manager in executing BD plans as necessary
  • Collaborate with lead partners to devise and execute market-specific BD strategies aligned with firm priorities
  • Help partners and lawyers achieve practice and sector objectives, including developing and maintaining client networks
  • Support the mentoring and training of lawyers in BD knowledge and skills
  • Build relationships with colleagues to facilitate BD activities
  • Assist BD Managers in creating business development/marketing materials
  • Contribute to the development and upkeep of BD databases
  • Participate in Marketing and BD Team initiatives and projects
  • Perform other reasonable assistance duties as required

What you’ll need

  • Prior experience in a Business Development role, ideally within Property, Legal or Professional Services
  • Knowledge and experience of CRM systems
  • Comfortable working as part of a team but also using your own initiative
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills with a positive ‘can do’ attitude
  • Accuracy and a keen eye for detail
  • Solid organisational skills and the ability to work under pressure in a busy and demanding environment
  • You will be proficient with Word, Excel, and Outlook
