We are looking for a skilled Transport Planner to join our dynamic team and contribute to the efficient planning and management of our transport operations.

Job Summary:

The Transport Planner will be responsible for developing, optimizing, and implementing transportation plans to ensure the efficient and cost-effective movement of goods and services. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Transportation Planning: Develop and implement transportation plans and schedules that optimize routes, reduce costs, and improve delivery times.
  • Route Optimization: Analyze and optimize transportation routes to ensure efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
  • Coordination: Coordinate with drivers, logistics personnel, and other departments to ensure seamless transport operations.
  • Data Analysis: Collect and analyze data related to transportation performance, costs, and efficiency. Use this data to make informed decisions and recommendations.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all transportation activities comply with relevant laws, regulations, and company policies.
  • Problem Solving: Identify and resolve transportation issues and disruptions promptly.
  • Reporting: Prepare and present reports on transportation performance, costs, and other key metrics to management.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Transport Planning, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in transport planning, logistics, or a related field.
  • Skills:
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
    • Proficiency in transportation management systems and software.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
    • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Knowledge: Familiarity with relevant transportation laws and regulations.
