Salary:                         £30,000 - £35,000 per annum, depending on experience

Hours:                          Monday – Friday 8.00am - 4.45pm with a 12.30pm finish on a Friday

We have a new opening for a specialist engineering company for a Buyer to join their team based in Poole on a permanent basis.

Within this role you will be you will be supporting the Purchasing Manager to manage the supplier orders and relationships, and ensuring they always have the product required to keep the manufacturing process moving.

Key duties will include;

• Monitoring inventory levels and forecast demand
• Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and products
• Sourcing of new suppliers, evaluating quality, price, delivery, and service
• Negotiating contracts and terms with suppliers

The successful applicant will possess;

• Proven experience in a Purchasing / Procurement / Buying role
• Experience in the manufacturing / engineering environment
• Experience of subcontract buying
• CIPS is advantageous
• PC literate with experience of using Excel, word and CRM / ERP systems
• Strong knowledge of supply chain management principles
• Strong negotiation, analytical and problem-solving skills
