Position Overview: They are seeking a skilled Contracts Manager to oversee the successful execution of their steelwork projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction management, with specific experience in steel fabrication and installation. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing contracts from inception to completion, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the planning, coordination, and execution of steelwork projects from initial contract review through to final handover.
  • Manage project budgets, schedules, and resources to ensure on-time delivery and within budget constraints.
  • Liaise with clients, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure project requirements are met and expectations are exceeded.
  • Oversee the procurement of materials and subcontractor services, negotiating contracts and agreements as needed.
  • Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, resolve issues, and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
  • Prepare and maintain project documentation, including contracts, change orders, and progress reports.
  • Identify and mitigate project risks, implementing strategies to minimize disruptions and delays.
  • Foster positive relationships with clients and stakeholders, addressing concerns and promoting customer satisfaction.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Contracts Manager in the construction industry, with a focus on steel fabrication and installation.
  • Strong understanding of steelwork processes, techniques, and regulations.
  • Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Effective communication and negotiation abilities, with a customer-focused approach.
  • Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (preferred but not required).
