Production Team Leader
Salary - £12.65 - 14.17 p/h

Hours - Monday - Friday (40 hours per week)

Our client, a leading manufacturing company, is seeking an experienced and dynamic Production Team Leader to join their operations team. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual to lead and drive productivity within a fast-paced production environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Effectively lead and support a team of operatives to achieve production targets and quality standards.
• Distribute workloads, assign tasks, and troubleshoot issues to optimise productivity.
• Continuously seek process improvements, implement best practices, and drive operational excellence.
• Communicate expectations, deadlines, and priorities to the team while maintaining quality control.
• Liaise with production management regarding deliveries, priorities, and overdue orders.
• Monitor production functions, reporting systems, work allocation, and identify training needs.
• Conduct performance reviews, address absence issues, and foster team collaboration.
• Ensure adherence to lean manufacturing principles (5s), workspace security, and health and safety standards.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a team leader or supervisor within a manufacturing setting.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, methods, and continuous improvement principles.
• Assertive leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire teams.
• Excellent decision-making, problem-solving, and strategic thinking capabilities.
• Adaptable and flexible with a results-driven approach.
• Effective communication, organisational, and time management skills.
• IT proficient with experience in production management systems.
