The role

The Management Accountant will be part of the UK finance function with links to the wider finance team in Germany. The role will require you to work closely with all parts of the company.

Location

Edinburgh / Livingston

Duties and responsibilities

·      Annual budget preparation – partnering with all company departments

·      Monthly forecasting including cashflow forecasting

·      Monthly departmental reporting against targets for leadership team and group finance 

·       Financial modeling

·       Support drive productivity projects

·       Working with job costings and customer tender costings

·       Ad hoc cost review deep dive

·       Working with full UK leadership team to facilitate understanding of financial data

·       Drive continuous improvement within the role and support wider business continuous improvements

Qualifications

·       Member of CIMA

·       Use of ERP/Accounting system

·       Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar role

·       Proficiency in MS Office: Excel / PowerPoint

·       Use in PowerBI would be advantageous

·       Strong relationship builder

·       A pragmatic approach to solving problems

·       Extremely organised with a strong ability to multitask

·       High level of integrity and motivation

·       Ability to learn processes across multiple site

·       Some German would be an advantage

·       Self-motivated and resourceful, with the proven ability to multi-task and operate successfully under tight deadlines and time pressure
