Risk Assessor – Bristol

This is an exciting opportunity to join a leading environmental compliance services company who are currently expanding and seeking a Risk Assessor to cover the Bristol area. Excellent career progression and opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment.
As a Risk Assessor, 80% of your role will be traveling to various client sites, the remaining.
20% will be home based, candidates must be willing to work on a shift rota system.
You will have a minimum of 1 year’s risk assessing experience and hold city and guilds qualification along with a detailed working knowledge of the HSE ACOP L8 HSG274 and HTM-04-01.
Basic salary up to £32,000 depending on experience, plus company car, fuel card, overnight expenses, bonus, paid overtime, and excellent benefits.
Candidate
- You will have an excellent understanding of water regulations and hold an appropriate certificates
- Able to assess more complex, larger building, dealing with hot and cold-water systems, more junior-mid will focus on smaller buildings and just the standard water systems
- Excellent communicator with good interpersonal communication skills at all levels
- Able to proactively identify problems and make decisions, taking appropriate action to a resolution
- Able to attain an accurate and consistent quality service
- Able to work on own initiative and as part of a team
- Good Microsoft Office and database skills
Duties
- As a risk assessor you will provide high level water and air hygiene division service and be responsible for undertaking legionella risk assessments, risk assessment reviews and surveys on a wide variety of water systems, as well as a good understanding of both commercial and domestic water systems.
- Ensure the accuracy of all risk assessment reports and their satisfactory completion and quality checking, prior to issue.
- Conduct legionella risk assessments, reviews, and surveys in line with company procedures and method statements and ensure all survey forms and work records (electronic system based) are complete and accurate.
- Assist with technical development of the risk assessment document whilst ensuring all health & safety procedures are followed, record and complete and accurate.
- Arrange onsite client site visits, ensure all arrangements are completed to a high standard
