Pimlico Plumbers are looking to recruit further Pest Control Technicians.

The Pest Control Technician is responsible for providing pest remediation and prevention solutions to residential and commercial property owners in central London. The primary duties of the pest controller include conducting inspections for insects and vermin and advising on and implementing effective treatment plans to remedy infestations. This is a field-based role which would suit an enthusiastic individual who likes to spend the day solving clients’ problems face to face with support from our service delivery team.

Responsibilities:

  • Carrying out pest control surveys and inspections in commercial and residential properties for signs of pests or infestation.
  • Determining the best type of treatment needed to eliminate pests.
  • Measuring the dimensions of the area needing treatment.
  • Creating and sending high quality reports to clients, whilst on site.
  • Checking and baiting traps with appropriate hazardous chemicals to remove, control or eliminate pests.
  • Estimate and agree costs with clients.
  • Invoicing and taking payments from clients.
  • Advising clients on the maintenance and hygiene of their premises
  • Completing accurate reports after every visit, arranging follow up visits and communicating with our clients.
  • Provide clients with safety warnings and other directions regarding leaving the premises or covering sensitive furnishing and other items during the treatment process.
  • Maintaining a high-level of customer service and giving out a professional image at all times

Key requirements:

  • BPCA/RSPH Level 2 Pest Management as a minimum
  • COSHH awareness training certificate
  • At least 3 years post qualification experience
  • Clean full UK driving licence.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Working in a proactive way, to offer solutions.

Hours: 08:30-17:00. Monday – Friday – Field based (plus additional hours as necessary and possible weekends)
