About our client:

We are working with a market leading security systems company who develop and install access systems for the Self Storage industry. Every time someone enters a code at a keypad, has their number plate open a gate, views CCTV on their site or opens a unit with an app, they’re using their system. They have a complex and exciting product that uses a cross-section of cutting edge technology.

Demand for our clients system is at an all time high – and they are looking for a project manager to help them meet that demand.

The Role

This is a technical role that will require an understanding of their system as well as an understanding of technical installation challenges and hardware. It is also a customer-facing role, which requires someone with excellent organisation and communication skills.

This role is within the access control and security sector, however would also suit someone with experience of IT and network installations.

This is a full-time role based in the UK, primarily working with engineers in the UK, but also across Europe.

The Project Manager will be in charge of:

Quoting

  • Responding to customer enquiries over phone and email
  • Visit sites, meeting customers and assessing their requirements
  • Make hardware recommendations
  • Make recommendations for settings based on your knowledge of the our clients system
  • Advise the customer on best cable routes
  • Create a quote
  • Be the customer’s main point of contact for sales enquiries

Management

  • Plan installation work in conjunction with the client
  • Coordinate installation engineers to complete projects
  • Follow up with engineers to ensure that all work is completed and documented
  • Document site setup & share project knowledge with the support team
  • Provide training and technical support to customers on site

Follow-up

  • Be available to travel within the UK to follow up and make repairs to damaged/offline systems
  • Lend technical expertise to the support team for support enquiries
  • Respond directly to support enquiries if they can’t be handled by the support team Contributing to the product
  • Feedback improvements and developments to the product with the development team

Candidate requirements for this role:

Preferred

  • Experience in installation of cable & hardware
  • Working knowledge of electronics
  • Working knowledge of CCTV
  • Understanding of access control systems
  • Understanding of alarm systems
  • Site experience

Essential

  • Experience managing installers and coordinating with clients
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • UK Driving licence (or licence suitable for UK) & Passport
