Major Recruitment are currently seeking a mechanical fitter for our prestigious client based in the Huddersfield area. Due to continued growth and expansion our client is now seeking a mechanical fitter to join their engineering team on a full time permanent basis
Ideally you will have experience in being able to strip and rebuild Helical, Worm, Bevel Helical, Spur Gearboxes is essential.
Gearboxes range in size from 150kg to 10 tonnes.

As a skilled fitter, you will be responsible for:
- Dismantling of transmissions
- Inspect & record all damage and evidence of wear & tear.
- Preparation & Reassemble of transmission components/sub-assemblies
- Complete required paperwork for each job accurately.
- Ensuring company procedures and policies are followed.
- Effective communication in a professional manner with your colleagues and across the business.
- Adhere to Health and Safety responsibilities at all times.
The ideal candidate will hold the following skills;
- Experience in an engineering fitting capacity
- An eye for detail
- Punctuality
- Health and safety awareness
Overtime, Weekend work available
30 days Holiday including statutory days (Bank Holidays)
