A fantastic opportunity has become available for a Procurement and Logistics Assistant to join a dynamic and rapidly expanding FMCG business (the UK's fastest growing in what they do!) on a full-time, permanent basis in Leicester. This is a Mon to Fri position, working 8am to 4pm. If you are looking for more than just an "admin job" this position will provide a great deal of variety across procurement, logistics, quality assurance and operations which will provide daily challenges and opportunities for a hard working and solutions oriented individual.


As Procurement and Logistics Assistant, some of your duties will include:


· Liaison with warehouse teams and book received goods in the system, in a timely manner.
· Supporting the procurement manager with helping sourcing of new raw material and packaging if required.
· Conducting daily/weekly/monthly stock count and reconciliation for all raw materials held within the factory and investigating discrepancies as required.
· Maintaining of raw material and packaging cost accurately on the system.
· Requesting logistics quotes for new customers' requirements.
· Requesting required supplier approval documentation from new suppliers and chasing if not provided on time.
· Conducting periodic chiller/freezer temperature checks.
· Daily filing of goods out-delivery notes
· Formulating all product sampling requests on a timely manner.
· Undertaking relevant project work as determined by the mangers linked to the business improvement plan.

In addition to being a passionate, team oriented individual, the skills and experience required include:


· Analytical ability
· Strong written and verbal communication skills
· At least 2 years FMCG experience ideally gained within the food industry
· Advanced IT skills particularly with Excel (Pivot table, Hlookup, Vlookup, Indexmatch etc)
· Methodical and diligent approach to working
· Excellent attention to detail
· Confident communicator both written and verbal
· Team Player who is respectful and honest
· Ability to make decisions and use initiative
· Ability to cope with multiple tasks and priorities
